Here’s a list of thoughts, freak outs and stuff that kept me busy this week. (I wonder if 50 years from now I will review this list and laugh…wait, I’m laughing now.)

• I can’t believe it’s Easter already! For the record, I dislike the money making machine that is Valentines Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Easter, Christmas in July, you name it. It’s disgusting how the world at large squeezes consumers for all they are worth and how we allow them to do it.

• Joe sent me this meme link on Moneyweb this morning. Embarrassing, but kind of cool.
  
• It was a good week for meeting inspiring people.
• Check out the awesome BowWow campaign that is being exhibited at the Design Indaba this weekend. I had the good fortune of seeing the puppies at the IDSolutions show room earlier this week.

• I’m really looking forward to the weekend. Tonight it’s the Chevelle launch, tomorrow morning the Design Indaba expo and then I get to hang out with yet another inspiring person for the greater part of the weekend. In between I have to see family, attend the Quirk birthday party and plan and pack for Europe…I can do this I can do this I can do this.
• My talk on Rocking the Daisies at the Heavychef session went really well. I should OD on Rescue Remedy and red wine more often. It clearly agrees with me. I’ve uploaded the presso to Slideshare.
• Speaking of RTD, the new website is going to be incredible. I’ve seen the page layouts and designs and it is going to be a master piece.
• I’ve been giving mobile campaigns and the role of mobile in the comms mix a lot of thought this week. It is something I have been conscious of for many months now (and which I have incorporated in many of our campaigns), but for some reason most of my conversations this week have been centered on this topic. Collective consciousness is a powerful thing.
• I found out this week that I inadvertently mix up my ‘to’ and ‘too’s’, especially on this blog. When I don’t concentrate I also screw up my ‘its’ and ‘it’s’. Oh well, there is a reason I ask other people to proof read my work related content before I send it out.

Dum di dum di dump…

• I have a thing for dinky cars and machinery, especially heavy lifting machinery. Needless to say that Cars and WallE are two of my favourite movies and I would kill for a mini digger loader of my own. Parri said that one day he will buy me one. (I love Parri.)
• I’m addicted to Grey’s Anatomy. I think six episodes in one night might be one to many though.
• Had a really fun evening with Amanda last night. It’s amazing how early drinks can turn into a night of mayhem. Note to self: There really is no such thing as “just one drink”.
• New favourite song (i.e. the one that’s on endless repeat): Beauty Queen by Ben’s Brother (Yes I did just use Wikipedia to reference a band.)
• I have to go to a dress up party tonight. Have I mentioned that I HATE DRESS UP!
• A really close friend of mine has beaten cancer. She is by far the bravest, most incredible person I know.
• I love my iPhone. I may not have waxed the jail breaking techniques and can therefore still not MMS, but from a web browsing, music/entertainment and touch screen functionality it really does rock my world.
• And just for interest sake, my Omnia vs. iPhone post ranks 7th on Google!
• There are 32 days to go before we leave for Europe!
• I’m acutely aware that despite my best efforts, I’m not managing to find the space and time I need. I also know that the box analogy is getting old and makes very little sense to anyone but me, but I maintain that it’s to small. I really need to figure out where to buy, beg, borrow or steal a new one from. Any ideas?
• Jade and her Romany Creams are the best things that have happened to our team in a long time!
• IN case you didn’t know or was to busy to notice: Yay yay it’s Friday! Now where did I hide that bottle of tequila again?

Yay, yay it’s Friday!

Friday’s rock and today is especially cool because tonight is my 27th birthday bash! The way I feel is perhaps best described by my favourite Poo Bear quote:

“Honey is nice, but there is a moment before you eat it which is even nicer.”

That’s how I feel about Fridays in general and about today in particular. May this feeling last forever.
