This week:

Hubby and I had a HUGE fight, and then kissed and made up a few days later. Have I mentioned fighting sucks? Definitely one of my least favourite things to do.

Smashed my car. Driving in a highly emotional state is not advised. Considering it’s my first real accident since the age of nine when I nearly totaled my mom’s car, and considering it was only a minor bump, all is well and the lucky stars have been thanked.

Went to Jo’burg – again. I’ve been doing this a lot lately and will be there again this coming week for Rocking the Gardens. By the looks of it I may move up for a month in November to finalise new business and scout for office space. Should be fun as I’ll get to hang with friends for longer than an hour (which is usually the case on manic business trips) and get to know the BIG city like a local.

Went to the Hartebeespoort dam for the second time in my life. Can someone please explain to me why you would want to go from your walled estate in Jozie to a walled estate at the Dam when the whole point of going is to get away from it all?

Discovered the most amazing Italian restaurant ‘al Fiume‘ on the way back. It’s not often that my expectations are exceeded.

Bought three goldfish for the office. They have been named Ed, Ed and Eddy.

Started reading The Black Swan by Nassim Nicholas Taleb. “The Black Swan Theory concerns high-impact, hard-to-predict, and rare events beyond the realm of normal expectations. Unlike the philosophical “black swan problem”, the “Black Swan Theory” (capitalized) refers only to events of large magnitude and consequence and their dominant role in history. “Black Swan” events are considered extreme outliers.”

Went to Waterford Wine Estate for a chocolate and wine tasting – highly recommended.

Admitted to the fact that there is only one of me.

Cried a lot.

Worked hard.

Played little. (This is a good thing as the upcoming weeks are going to be tough.)

And have been excruciatingly honest with myself and the people around me.

“Slow down everyone you’re moving to fast. Frames can’t catch you when you moving like that.” – Jack Johnson, Brushfire Fairytales.
