I haven’t done one of these in a while, but it’s time. Forth with singular extracts from my chaotic mind:

The Pop!Tech pitch went well. We are up against some big boys though, so here’s holding thumbs David wins again.

I love driving around in JHB. Knowing where you’re going (or at least which direction PTA is) makes a huge difference. I even impressed Nicole – an ex-Joburger.

Today is Janine’s last day. She is following her heart by going to her church to work for them full time. Wednesday was her farewell party and when I finally got home, it felt like someone had sucked the air out of the room. I am going to miss her very, very much.

I’m seriously impressed with Avis. My rental had a fuel line leak and within 45 minutes of reporting it, the car had been replaced. Thebogo from the customer careline even made follow-up calls to check that everything was okay. Weirdly enough when I handed the car in at OR Thambo I mentioned it to the guy who assisted me and guess what? It was Thebogo!

I have so much to do for our trip to Europe in March/April. Visas, foreign currency, accommodation, planning where we want to go, squeezing in family while we are there and of course planning Anton’s SA wedding prior to leaving. (Quite why both my brother’s decided to marry Europeans I don’t know. Thank goodness they are both incredible women though.) Both Parri and I are like little kids with unlimited pocket money in Sweets from Heaven.

Petr attended his first day at a big school yesterday. He’s only 4 so it’s another few years before grade 1, but it’s still really sweet to see how excited he was.

I’m into a new curly hair look. Who knew it was such low maintenance.

We have so much working coming in at the moment that I’m a little overwhelmed. Know of any kick-ass PR consultants who get online?

I want to get a tattoo. I might attend the tattoo convention at the CTICC tomorrow for some insipration.
